THE WINDOW (2018)

The Window is inspired by the late Charlie, a coyote who was adopted as a pup by a young woman in Wyoming. Her story, told mostly through daily photos on her blog The Daily Coyote, provided a contrasting picture of compassion in the midst of the violence rampant in much of my research about human-coyote interaction. The window is a physical barrier marking Charlie's unique experience. Home for him was dualistic, existing simultaneously on either side.
