OBSOLETE (2020)

Two screen prints on Lenox mounted on museum board, wire mounting

This installation was part of MFA Thesis Exhibition ARTIFICIAL CURATION.

The compositions for each tapestry are made up of images of etchings and backgrounds from the Unicorn Tapestries. Narwhal and walrus tusks were once in high demand, ground up and sold as alicorn (known as unicorn horn, believed to contain medicinal properties).

Though their tusks are still considered valuable, rising sea levels and ocean acidification are the main threat to populations today.
